Formerly known as the Bead Shoppe, Mission Street Arts and Fibers is located in Ketchikan, Alaska, in the center of down town across the street from historic St. John's Church at 500 Mission Street.
Our store opened in 1997 and continues to grow. June 2009 started us off in another direction with the opening of a new and much larger store, "The Point", located on Ketchikan's west end. We carry a large selection of high quality yarns including Qiviut, Alaskan Musk Ox wool, and knitting supplies, Miyuki Japanese beads and contemporary art glass from many different artists. We specialize in the latest color selections, most current books and publications. We also carry the works of several local artists, including Terry Pyles, one of Alaska's best known painters. Dave Rubin, Dorene McDaniel, Glen Fazakerley, Mimi Kotlarov, and many other local favorites are also shown in our store. If you want to, you can call the store from 10:00 am to 5:00pm Monday through Saturday Alaska Daylight Time (we're an hour earlier than Pacific time): 907-225-2854 or call The Point at 907-225-2858. Happy Crafting, Cheri Pyles Proprietor |
